Sion is the capital of the Swiss canton of Valais. It is a small but attractive town with a long history - archeological
evidence points to the site having been inhabited during Neolithic times. The town is located in the centre of the wide Rhone
Valley. People from Sion are considered by other Swiss to be a bit odd, impenetrably taciturn and clannish!
Sion is 160kms from Geneva and 276kms from Zurich.
