NEW for 2010...

Our alpine Backcountry Explorer trips are exciting ski weeks that combine lift accessed off-piste skiing and touring with the goal of providing the ultimate week of freeride adventure.

We've based these trips in a combination of world renowned resorts - Verbier, Val d'Isere - and lesser known areas - Val Senales, Zinal - all of which offer fantastic off-piste skiing and day touring.

On these trips you'll usually stay in the same chalet or hotel for the duration with one night out in mountain hut.

We debated hard about the name for these courses before deciding on 'Backcountry Explorer'. The other options: 'day tours' - we thought was rather misleading as we'll make use of mechanical lifts - and 'freeride' - another term that has a variety of meanings including according to wikipedia '...a relatively new discipline of mountain biking'.

Check out the detailed trip information on the individual trip pages to find out more about the itineraries. If you're uncertain which is the best trip for you, just call our office.
