Day 1 
Arrive in Interlaken and book into your hotel. Meet up with your Mountain Tracks guide. Welcome meeting and trip briefing.

Day 2 
Ascend using the Jungfrau Railway up the Jungfraujoch (3454m).
An astounding feat of Swiss engineering, the train climbs via a tunnel bored through the Eiger and the Mönch. We start with the descent down the Jungfraufirn before making an ascent of the Louwihorn (3773m). A 900m vertical descent leads us to Konkordiaplatz, where we use ladders to reach the Konkordia hut (2850m).

Day 3
We continue our journey eastwards over the Grunhornlucke (3280m). An ascent of the Wyssnollen (3590m), gives us magnificent views of the surrounding peaks and a great ski to the Finsteraarhorn hut (3048m).

Day 4 
A big day with the ascent of the Gross Wannenhorn, (3905m). This is the most southerly of the peaks ascended. Return to the Finsteraarhorn hut for a second night.

Day 5
A traverse of the Trugberg (3880m). This peak is an island surrounded by glaciers. We ascend it via the Ewigschneefald ice fall to the east, and return to the Konkordia hut.

Day 6
The traverse the Kranzberg (3666m). This peak overlooks the Konkordiaplatz and is an excellent peak to take in on the way to the hut. Our descent to the Grosser Aletschfirn is spectacular and leads on to the Hollandia hut (3240m).

Day 7
This day is a great finish to the trip. We climb the Abeni Flue (3962m) Although not technical or steep it does give wonderful glacier skiing and, from the summit, brilliant views of the surrounding Swiss Valais. Descending back to the Hollandia hut and the Lotschenlucke gives access to the classic alpine ski run into the Lotschental. We return to Interlaken by train.

Day 8
Depart after breakfast

We will make every endeavour to carry out the above itinerary but alterations may have to be made owing to weather and snow conditions.

Price
All prices are per person
The price includes: all guiding fees & expenses, 2 nights half-board hotel accommodation, 5 nights half-board accommodation in mountain huts
The price does not include: local transfers and uplift costs, equipment hire, personal insurance, travel to/from Interlaken, lunches and beverages.

We exclude the cost for transfers and uplift because use of these will depend on weather and snow conditions. Based on previous tours the cost of transfers/uplift for this tour should not exceed CHF150.

Group Size
The minimum group size is 4. The maximum is 12 with 2 guides.

Accommodation and meals
We spend 2 nights in Interlaken where our preferred hotel is the Hotel Harder Minerva. The other 5 nights are spent in traditional alpine mountain huts. It is possible to leave some luggage in Interlaken whilst we are in the mountain huts as we return there for the final night. The Swiss huts are renowned for good food: nourishing and plentiful.

Equipment
A copy of our  recommended kit list will be sent to you at the time of booking.
Ski touring gear is essential for this tour.
All skiers will need to carry a pack (35-45 litres) with safety gear, a minimal change of clothes for the evenings and personal items.
Everyone is expected to ski at all times with the three essential items of avalanche safety equipment: transceiver, shovel and probe. If you ski off-piste regularly we recommend you purchase your own set and we have a special offer on BCA’s excellent DTS Tracker.

Equipment Hire

Insurance
It is a condition of booking that you are insured for ski touring covering personal accident, rescue and third party risks. You are strongly advised also to take out cover against cancellation and curtailment.
