Will Evans

I am a BASI level 4 and Swiss Patente qualified instructor and have spent the last 5 years in Verbier training aspiring instructors, having previously taught in Canada, France and Italy. Ever since I first slid down the dendex of Llandudno dry ski slope as a 6 year old, skiing has been a driving passion that has seen me travel the world from the plastic slopes of North Wales to the volcanoes of the Andes and New Zealand. I love the thrill and adventure of offpiste skiing and thoroughly enjoy sharing this with people whom I teach. I spend as much time as possible exploring the incredible off piste around Verbier, Chamonix and my favourite areas of Alagna and Gressoney in Italy.

I cannot speak highly enough of Will. He is the best instructor I have ever had - he is so informative with some of the best guidance I have ever had in terms of skiing skills. He is so patient and encouraging; he pushed us on but also he was very able to pick up the cues when the legs were feeling weak and feeble. He has superb ability to find great snow and he got us to all sorts of places on the mountain. His instruction was second to none: I learned so much but there is a serious need to practice more and to get even fitter! He was professional at all times yet very relaxed, attentive and he always joined into the banter.

Had a fabulous week with Will and Carol, plenty of laughs and lots of fun. Will was the perfect instructor (more like having a guide too), enthusiastic, patient and kind, as before. Yes, we were very lucky with the weather and Will took us on some lovely routes. I think both Carol and I wish we were much fitter so that we could benefit more fully from Will's ski tours, etc. This was more like a "backcountry explorer for hackers" than being back in school (compliment!).
