Tomaz Jakofcic

Tomaz is a Slovenian IFMGA-accredited alpine mountain guide who has been working with Mountain Tracks since 2006. He is a fantastic climber and a very genial guy who always inspires his clients. His partner, Tina is also an IFMGA Mountain Guide and one of the top female climbers in Europe.

In his own words:

"I was born in 1970. I started climbing when I was 15 years old in a climbing club in Ljubljana. Since then I've completed over 900 alpine routes. I have climbed across Europe, in South and North America, the Himalayas, Tien Shan and Karakoram. I have summited Dhaulagiri (8167m), Gyachung Kang (7952m, new route), Siguang Ri (7308m, new route), Trango Tower, Ama Dablam, El Capitan and Fitz Roy three times including 1 new route on the north face. When I am not on expeditions I am trying to build my sport climbing level as high as possible. I have climbed 8b on red point and 7c on sight. In 2009 I summited Everest with clients and in 2010 I had a fantastic new challenge with the birth of my daughter Ula!
