Jon Bracey is one of Britain's foremost alpinists having climbed some of the hardest routes in the Alps and established several new routes in Alaska, Greenland and the Himalayas. In 2008 he competed for Great Britain at the Ski Mountaineering World Championships, the Pierra Menta, and the Patrouille des Glaciers. In 2011 he completed a new route in Alaska on the Moonflower Buttress of Mt. Hunter named The Cartwright Connection.
An IFMGA alpine guide based in the Chamonix valley, he specialises in guiding ice climbs, off piste skiing, and ski tours in winter and the classic big rock climbs, alpine faces and ridges in summer.
