Welcome to Mountain Tracks

Mountain Tracks is a team of dedicated mountain guides specialising in IFMGA guided mountain adventure. All our trips and courses are led by highly qualified staff including IFMGA alpine mountain guides or experienced ski instructors specialising in off piste techniques. We all share a passion for the mountains and a determination to share our enthusiasm with our clients. We are committed to delivering outstanding alpine mountain experiences and to help each individual achieve their personal goals.

We run challenging and rewarding courses and holidays to the Alps and beyond throughout the year. In winter our programme includes off-piste skiing holidays, hut-to-hut ski tours and mountain and avalanche awareness training courses. In summer we focus on high altitude glacier trekking, alpine mountaineering; and throughout the year we offer great worldwide expeditions. We offer trips that are suitable for everyone from alpine novices exploring the mountains for the first time to experienced skiers and mountaineers striving for the ultimate challenge.

We hope you enjoy browsing through our website, are inspired by the courses and holidays on offer and are able to join us in the mountains soon!

Escaping from the Mountains!

Escaping from the Mountains!

The weather has been rather unstable this summer so I escaped to Finale for some rock climbing this past week. We managed a few days in the high mountains, but were eventually stormed off! Mike went from never having rock climbed (Day 1) to seconding multi-pitch 6a+ (Day 2) to leading pitches at grade 5 on Day 3! A great effort, I think he might be bitten by the climbing bug!

Success on Mont Blanc!

Success on Mont Blanc with Mountain Tracks

This week Emma and John summited Mont Blanc. Despite poor weather at the beginning of the week we managed to acclimatise in the Refugio Torino. Traversing the Vallée Blanche was really atmospheric due to drifting cloud, mist and no track. The summit days were perfect with light winds, warm temperatures and perfect sunshine.

What an experience, by far the best days of the summer so far!

A Twist on Summer(!) in Chamonix

Mountain Tracks - Mont Blanc Ascent

It's not just Britain that's been 'enjoying' a bit of precipitation this past week. Chamonix too has seen its fair share. Matt Dickinson has just posted a few photos of a rather unseasonally snowy July ascent of Mont Blanc...

Mont Blanc Climber Week

Mont Blanc Climber Week

The first part of our Mont Blanc Climber week is spent in the beautiful Gran Paradiso National Park on the Italian side of the Alps training and climbing. This past week there has been some good sunny spells allowing the beauty of this region to really shine through.

Thanks again to Klemen for sharing some great photos!
